10 guidelines for your party
  1. Pick up your posters and door hangers for you and your neighbours
Put a poster in your building, and door hangers on your neighbours' doors. You can get these communication tools at the participating cities and towns, our office the Carrefour hypermarkets, GB and Express supermarkets or you can download them from our website.

  2. Make sure you display information in your building/street
Put a poster in your building. Write on the poster who you are, how people can contact you, the place and time of your party. Hang the door hanger invitations on your neighbours' doors.

  3. Ask some neighbours to organize the party together !
Talk about it with your neighbours and prepare the party with them. This is the best way to get people to come to the party. Word to mouth is still the best way to get many people to attend. Divide the tasks, share the project and ideas, discuss it. Preparing this event together is already a part of the party !

  4. Find the perfect location
Plan the party in a common area of your building (courtyard, entrance, hall, garden,…) instead of in an apartment of one of the residents. This will be less intimidating for the people who know only a few people. If you do not have any space available inside your building, it is also possible to organise it on the street or on the sidewalk. But be careful and take security and neighbourhood into account. Also think of solutions in case of rain.

  5. Install everything carefully
Think of all the equipment you will need for a buffet (tables, trestles and planks, chairs,…) but also remember to put down some chairs for the elderly.
